Outer Shores unveils 2016 schedule & new expeditions in coastal B.C.

British Columbia’s leading sailing operator, Outer Shores Expeditions, has unveiled their 2016 schedule complete with new expeditions and experiences aboard the 70-foot classic wooden schooner Passing Cloud.

Guests can now sail in the wake of the legendary Captain James Cook, explore the great Canadian ecological treasure that is the Great Bear Sea, and enjoy epicurean delights in the Salish Sea on three newly curated expeditions. Meanwhile, returning to the Outer Shores Expeditions collection in 2016 are perennial favourites that delve deep into the natural and cultural history of Haida Gwaii, Pacific Rim National Park and Gulf Islands National Park.

In The Wake of Captain James Cook

When Captain James Cook and his crew stepped ashore Nookta Island in March 1778, they triggered an almost unimaginable series of social and ecological events that continue to play out to this day.
