Oceania Cruises’ new Marina arrived in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Jan. 27, the last call on her inaugural cruise before crossing the Atlantic for Miami. Oceania Cruises officially has taken delivery of Marina, the line’s first newly built ship which measures 66,000 tons and accommodates 1,250 guests. A keel-laying ceremony to mark the start of construction for Oceania Cruises’ 1,258-guest m/s Riviera was held June 3 at the Fincantieri shipyard near Genoa. Oceania Cruises has commissioned Lalique, the fabled French artists of jewelry and crystal to design a grand stairway for the reception area of its new Marina, currently under construction in Italy.
