Mexico and Tequila!

So our last adventure brought us back to Mexico yet again, this time testing out the waters off Mexico’s western coast and famous hotspot Cabo San Lucas. Arriving in Cabo is definitely a gorgeous site with the lively town straight ahead and Lover’s Beach to your side, we couldn’t wait to start exploring! We wanted to start Cabo off with a party, so we asked to be pointed in the direction of Squid Row, a well-known party …

Cruising the new Oceania Marina in (almost) luxury

With the launching of the Oceania Marina, there’s a new leader in a relatively new niche in cruising. The niche, somewhere between the high-priced luxury brands and the big ships of the premium lines, is called upper premium or maybe ultra deluxe or, my favorite because it’s mine, “almost luxury.” The cruise line is Oceania. The celebration party is just beginning, because its newest ship, the Marina, already is the belle of the ball. The 1,250-passenger Marina, …

A Note About Oceania’s New Ship, the Marina, and it’s onboard Canyon Ranch SpaClub®

Oceania is introducing their new ship, the Marina, in January 2011.  As is their tradition, this wonderful luxury ship will provide Oceania’s lovely onboard ambiance, while remaining comfortable and familiar to those who love this line. It’s my experience that the staff on these ships is well-trained and helpful, and the cuisine is excellent (no surprise since the executive culinary director is Jacques Pepin, one of America’s best-known chefs).  And I love Oceania’s itineraries; they are “port-heavy”, …
