Crystal announces its 2014 World Cruise Adventures

Crystal Cruises is renowned for its shore excursions; in fact, it’s relatively safe to say they set the standard within the industry. This week, they announced their 2014 World Cruise Adventures offerings (the earliest this information has ever been released, by the way), so if you’re thinking ahead to next year’s world cruise (as I always am), you’ll definitely want to take note. These excursions (and many more, over 200) will be offered on their World Cruise, …

Azamara: more inclusive amenities

Although I have not had the pleasure of cruising on Azamara, I thought this was interesting news we received it from the line. This is one of the lines I would love to experience.  My friends who have sailed with Azamara really loved the ship, the voyage and all of the amenities they offered.  I thought you might enjoy this news! Warmest regards, Heidi   AZAMARA RETURNS TO EUROPE IN 2013 WITH THE MOST EXTENSIVE LINE-UP OF …

Crystal makes some changes for 2013

Crystal Cruises is one of my favorite lines; they have beautiful ships, countless amenities, and some of the best shore excursions to be had.  I think they’re absolutely wonderful. I also think, however, that the charms of this particular line have been somewhat lost on the younger generation.  Crystal, historically, has mostly tailored it’s offerings to the affluent, mature, and “cultured” cruiser.  However, it seems their way of doing things may be undergoing a bit of …

Name that ship: Royal Caribbean trademarks possible ship names for new additions

According to recent reports, Royal Caribbean International has trademarked six potential ship names.  They apparently filed trademark applications in early November 2012 for the names Anthem of the Seas, Passion of the Seas, Vantage of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Pulse of the Seas. Does this mean they have 6 new ship builds planned for the near future?  Maybe… but the line has yet to confirm anything in regard to the …

Crystal Cruises Annouces 2013 Repositioning Cruises

I’ve talked a bit on the site about repositioning cruises, and the value they offer as a unique experience.  They are a wonderful option for those of you who enjoy those long, calm days at sea.I recently got information on the repositioning offerings for ultra-luxury line Crystal Cruises.  They have an impressive amount of cruises throughout 2013, and will be offering new itineraries on 60% of the voyages.   Even for seasoned Crystal cruisers, there’s a whole new …

Consider a repositioning cruise for a new experience

Looking for long wonderful days at sea to relax and rejuvenate, paired with deep discounts on cruise pricing? Consider a repositioning cruise. Repositioning cruises (one of the best kept secrets in the cruise industry,) consist of one–way itineraries scheduled when ships relocate to new destinations based on the season. Ships that winter in the Caribbean or Hawaii will often move to Alaska, Europe or Canada/New England in the spring and then reverse course back to warmer climates …

P&O’s Strictly Come Dancing Cruises

If one of your guilty pleasures is “Dancing With The Stars” (or for our overseas friends, Strictly Come Dancing), I may have the cruise for you. P&O Cruises will run seven “Strictly Come Dancing” cruises that sail from Southampton next year, complete with (sometimes) brutally honest SCD judge Craig Revel Horwood along for the voyage. Crystal Cruises New “Extreme Makeover – Ship Edition” brochure

I will admit, that occasionally (now just occasionally, mind you) I do get sucked into late night TV-watching that features someone’s inspiring journey towards a better life through health and fitness.  (Does anyone else do this while eating ice cream?) Well, here’s an interesting twist on that self-improvement theme: Crystal Cruises has introduced a New “Extreme Makeover – Ship Edition” brochure.  It’s a new publication that shows all the reasons that ultra luxury line is such an award winner. …

Royal Caribbean: Newest soda package includes custom mixed drinks

Royal Caribbean recently introduced new all-you-can-drink soda machines on their ships, and they’ve turned out to be a huge hit!  So much so, that the line ran out on their first voyage… why are they so popular? Well, these aren’t just any soda machines.  They’re a modified version of the Coca-Cola Freestyle dispensers that Coca-Cola started offering in 2009 and can offer 125 flavors of various Coke products using an on-the-spot mixing technology; the machines produce everything …
