ATHENS, Greece – What a perfect ending to a perfect cruise. Here I am on my last night in Greece, having dinner almost in the shadow of the Acropolis. Dining at Restaurant Atticos, I’m enjoying Greek salad, tender roast beef and potatoes, eggplant, fresh olives, chunks of cheese, olive oil and crispy bread. Athens,busy and bustling, despite the financial crisis

The view from our breakfast table on the top floor of the Hotel Grand Bretagne is spectacular – with the acropolis outlined against the morning sky. Been There Done That: My final day is spent wandering Athens

Although many of the rooms at the Grand Bretagne have balconies, mine did not. No Coffee and Croissants overlooking the city. I did know that it would end one day. Still, breakfast at the Roof Garden Restaurant with a great view of the Parthenon is nothing to complain about; and the coffee was very good.
