When Silversea’s newest Expedition Ship, Silver Endeavour, sets sail, its passengers will experience Gourmet Dining at its best. All four restaurants will evoke Silversea’s dining portfolio from its main line luxury fleet modified for Silver Endeavour, the most luxurious expedition ship afloat. Plus the line’s immensely popular Arts Café will offer its guests the finest coffee bar at sea while In-Suite Dining will indulge culinary fantasies 24 hours a day.
“Our guests will enjoy the luxury of choice while traveling to the world’s most remote regions”. So says Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, Silversea Cruises. There is likely no one in Cruising more up to the minute on Culinary offerings at sea than Ms. Muckermann. She is, after all, the Creator of Silversea’s immensely successful S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) program. This Culinary Arts program, a collaboration between Ms. Muckermann and Adam Sachs, former Editor of Saveur Magazine and a James Beard Award Winner, has taken culinary cruising by storm. It brings the tastes of wherever Silversea’s three Silver-Muse-class sisters sail right onto each ship. You won’t find it present in Antarctica as the White Continent is not known for local cuisine! What Silver Endeavour’s 200 guests will find are 300 seats for dinner each night.
“Travelers will be able to sample fine international fare of the highest quality in four of our signature restaurants,” Ms. Muckermann continues. “They can also have their butler serve meals in-suite, around the clock, if they prefer.” The four restaurants will likely attract Silversea’s overwhelming complement of repeat cruisers. Some familiar names are among the culinary offerings on this beautiful new ship.
The Restaurant seats virtually the entire ship’s complement at a single seating. Set on Deck 4, this is Silver Endeavour’s Main Dining room. Modern, spacious and supremely elegant, this glorious room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It promises a menu of international favorites notable for its variety and menu selections that rotate every day of every sailing.
Il Terrazzino is an homage to Silversea’s Italian heritage and to famed La Terrazza. A fixture on every main line Silversea vessel, La Terrazza has been re-imagined aboard Silver Endeavour. Authentic Italian cuisine is de rigeur here. Just 36 guests are hosted in this upscale intimate setting each evening. The menu is a la carte and the pasta is unforgettable.
La Dame tempts guests with its fine French Cuisine. It’s hard to decide between Silversea’s signature menu of a la carte offerings or its 6-course tasting menu complete with wine pairings. Whatever one chooses, this refined, intimate space welcomes just 20 guests an evening. La Dame is the only venue aboard Silver Endeavour that charges a nominal fee. It is just $60 per person – a small price to pay for exceptional cuisine and extraordinary service.
The Grill is Silver Endeavor’s Restaurant with a 270-degree view. This two-level ‘casual’ eatery offers aft-facing views to up to 80 guests for breakfast and lunch, and up to 48 guests for dinner. Its location on The Pool Deck and on the mezzanine above features an a la carte menu of flavorful, international favorites and jaw-dropping views.
The Arts Café makes its Polar Debut. As past passengers will tell you, this upscale take on a Coffee Shop is a firm favorite. It’s given a heart-of-the-ship position on Deck 5 of Silver Endeavour. Through its floor-to-ceiling windows, it offers exceptional views of each destination. Its mouth-watering offerings of fresh pastries and gourmet bites complement its wide selection of specialty teas and coffees.
