Regal Princess 5: Movies are part of the onboard ship entertainment

ABOARD THE REGAL PRINCESS – The moon watched from the night sky and the waves crashed below as Wonder Woman unleashed a lightning bolt to kill the villain and save the world from impending disaster.

Movies Under the Stars is a fun way to see films on a mammoth screen

But we weren’t sitting in some movie theater watching the popular 2017 Gai Gadot film. And those weren’t make-believe waves we were hearing.

We were snuggled in deck lounge chairs with warm blankets and freshly popped corn on the top deck of the Regal Princess somewhere in the Caribbean.

The Vista Lounge is large and comfortable for viewing

That huge screen by the ship swimming pool is getting a lot of use. During the day, we’ll be seeing concerts by performers like Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, Shania Twain, Maroon 5, Santana, Annie Lennox, Peter Gabriel, Sam Hunt and Bryan Adams.

We’ll also have NFL football games with giant-screen live action for sports fans.

During the day, the outside screen is alive with movies and other action

When we boarded the ship, our daily Princess Patter schedule had a listing of the movie highlights we would see in Movie Under the Stars and and in the Vista Lounge on Deck 7 aft.

Movies Under the Stars will be showing some good ones:

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Going in Style (2017|

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)

Mama Mia (2008)

Grease (1978)

The Vista Lounge on Deck 7 aft also shows films. The lounge is large and comfortable with tables for drinks and a big screen to enjoy all the action. Unlike Movies Under the Stars, the Vista Lounge lights can be dimmed for better movie viewing.

Movies shown in the Vista Lounge include:

The Glass Castle (2017)

The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017)

The Dark Tower (2017)

The Founder (2016)

Wind River (2017)

Fresh popped corn is served during Movies Under the Stars

Big-screen movies and concerts are only part of the Regal Princess entertainment. In the Princess Theatre on Decks 6 and 7, we can see evening performances of singer and comedian John Bressler, comedian Steve White and singer and impressionist Tony Pace.

Two big music productions in the Princess Theater will be new productions of “Sweet Soul Music” and “Born to Dance.” Looking forward to it and to seeing what else Regal Princess has in store to entertain us.
