Preparing for a cruise aboard AmaDara along the Mekong River

IMG_1601August 17 Ama Dara revs engines for its inaugural cruise on the Mekong River and our featured writer Judy Wells will be on board to chronicle Ama Waterways’ newest and grandest vessel. From the day she leaves home in Jacksonville, FL to explore the paths of UNESCO World Heritage Site Angkor Wat temple complex to the last day in bustling Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), she will report on accommodations and cuisine, shore excursions and what guests will experience on subsequent cruises.

During the eight-day cruise, AmaDara and its staff will introduce passengers to the history, culture and everyday life on Southeast Asia’s longest and most fabled river with excursions to Prek Kdam, Kampong Chhnang, Koh Chen, Oudong, Kampong Chhang, Koh Chen, Oudong, Kampong Tralach and Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Tan Chau, Sa Dec, Cat Be, My Tho Port and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
