Pandaw’s new ship will sail on the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers from July 2013

Most people know that I am a fan of small ships, particularly in exotic places where smaller vessels make in-depth exploration possible. So it is nice to know that Pandaw River Cruises is continuing to offer new options to its customers in Asia.

Pandaw river ship

The Sagaing Pandaw was launched in Vietnam last January and is currently plyi ng the Mekong as the Saigon Pandaw. She will transfer to Burma next year to meet increasing demand for quality river expeditions.

With 30 classic Pandaw staterooms she is the perfect expedition vessel for exploring the upper reaches of the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers. This ship is available only to individual travellers.

The classic 14-night ‘Irrawaddy’ cruises operate from Prome (Pyay) to the Upper Irrawaddy and back to Mandalay. Ten-night ‘Golden Land’ cruises operate downstream from Mandalay to Prome.

Other special once-a year-cruises are offered from Rangoon to Mandalay and on the Chindwin.

Early bird discounts of 10 percent are available for bookings made prior to one year before departure.
