Oceania’s Allura is Named ~Before the first sailing of its spectacular new “Vista,” Oceania presents “Allura”

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Oceania Cruises. The globe-straddling luxury cruise line is known for its small, beautifully appointed ships. And well it should be. Every one of its ships has been refurbished in just the past 5 years. 648-Guest Sister ships Serena, Regatta, Insignia and Nautica have all been upgraded so that every suite, every stateroom is entirely new from floor to ceiling and in each of their bathrooms.  Meanwhile the immensely popular Marina and Riviera have been reimagined in just the past two years.  These 1248-passenger beauties are famous for their Owner’s Suites furnished in Ralph Lauren Home. And, like all Oceania Ships, for The Finest Cuisine at Sea®. In 2022 and 2023, Oceania added new designer touches throughout the ships.  Certain extremely popular hallmarks of Oceania, namely The Finest Cuisine at Sea® have been amplified and maintain the line’s position as one of the world’s great culinary experiences on sea or land.

Vista Sets Sail in May and it’s already a smashing success.

Imagine selling out before a single passenger sets foot aboard.  That’s precisely the position Oceania’s newest ship, the 67,000-ton, 1200 passenger Vista finds itself in. With two staff members for every three guests, the ship will maintain Oceania’s well-deserved reputation for service.  And as with all Oceania ships, Vista is décor is residentially inspired. It is truly designed as one’s home away from home. How we wish we could take home Vista’s best in class culinary experiences, signature public spaces and the truly extraordinary suites and staterooms—every single one with a balcony.  Her 18 Inaugural Season voyages will span more than 24 countries on 4 continents from Asia in the East to Hollywood in the West.

Enter Allura, a ship so extraordinary she inspired a new class of ship—Allura-class

As on all Oceania Cruises ships, Allura will serve The Finest Cuisine at Sea, and will offer exceptionally personalized service. And like Vista, she will accommodate 1200 guests catered to by 800 officers and crew—a cruise industry ratio of space and staff-to-guest ratios.

Allura will feature captivating residential furnishings and décor. Allura highlights include an array of inventive new dining experiences including Ember, an upscale signature restaurant serving reimagined American classics, and Aquamar Kitchen, both debuting on Vista in May, as well as the largest standard staterooms and a new Chef’s Studio. Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises put it this way: “At Oceania Cruises we are always looking for ways to evolve, elevate and modernize our offerings to continuously surprise and delight our discerning guests as they enjoy immersive new experiences”. He went on to say, “We are thrilled with the incredible demand we have witnessed for Allura’s sister ship, Vista, with her 2023 maiden season already sold out, and we know Allura will be equally as popular with our guests.”  The success of Vista and the arrival of Allura in June of 2025 only adds opportunities for the rest of the fleet. “The arrival of any new ship is the ideal time to look closely at what we offer our guests” Mr. Del Rio continued,” As we prepare to welcome Allura to the family, we have already started planning exciting new elements to be added across the fleet.”

Allura’s Inaugural Season begins in Spring 2025

Allura will first set sail in Europe and in the Americas.  Mr. Del Rio explains: “Allura’s inaugural journeys are designed to appeal to all global travelers, whether they revel in the joy that comes with reconnecting with favorite destinations or are excited to discover new places and sights for the very first time.” Given the extraordinary response to Vista, it might make a great deal of sense to mark your calendars. The itineraries will be revealed this Spring and go on sale this summer.
