Cruise Deals Promise Affordable Cruise Vacations For Families in 2012

DETROIT (May 23, 2012) – Cruises are a hot commodity for family vacations, due in large part to the efforts the cruise lines have made in their family friendly amenities and programs.

Another factor that contributes to their popularity, say the cruise experts at AllThingsCruise, is the special pricing the lines have developed for children. Families will find that there are free or discounted fees for families.

Here are some of the best deals for families looking to cruise this year:

Holland America Line: HAL is providing an exclusive offer that lets kids between the ages of two and 17 cruise free on select Europe itineraries. They also offer special pricing for children on select sailings (Europe, Canada/New England and the Caribbean) that is typically is between $399 and $599.

To get the deal: Children must be sailing as a third or fourth guest in a stateroom, and free or reduced pricing varies by itinerary.

MSC Cruises: MSC offers a Kids Sail Free program year round to children ages 11 and under. Children ages 12 to17 sail at a reduced rate. There are also discounted shore excursion prices for children (prices vary by excursion and itinerary).

To get the deal: Children must stay in a stateroom with two adults paying full fare.

InnerSea Discoveries/American Safari: Kids ages 12 and under save 25% off published fares on the following “Kids in Nature” Alaska departures:

InnerSea Discoveries: “Inner Reaches Eastern Coves” – Wilderness Adventurer, June 23; July 21 and August 4, 2012, sailings.

American Safari Cruises: “Discoverers’ Glacier Country” – Safari Quest, June 22 and July 20, 2012, sailings.

To get the deal: Children must be booked on one of the above listed “Kids in Nature” Alaska departures for the discount to apply.

Costa Cruises: Now through Nov. 24, 2012, Costa Cruises is featuring a “Kids Sail Free” program where junior cruisers ages 17 and under can take a complimentary cruise vacation.

To get the deal: While there is no sailing fee, government taxes and fees must be paid for the child, and they must sail as the third or fourth guest in a cabin.
