Infant/Toddler

For safety reasons, babies and small children are only allowed to travel on board within Europe when over the age of 8 months. For travel in the rest of the world, children must be at least 2 years old. Special life jackets are available for babies and children.

The Knopf Club for the little ones

  • Guaranteed childcare for 2 to 3 year olds in the EUROPA 2 Knopf Club
  • Age specific offers like Bälle-Paradies and Steiff Kuschellounge
  • Knopf Club opening times: 9.00 to 12.00 hrs, 14.00 to 17.00 hrs and supervision for going to sleep 18.30 to 22.00 hrs

The particularly intense and individual care of the toddlers in the Knopf Club costs € 65 per day and is available during the opening hours. Participation is limited to a maximum of twelve toddlers. Please make sure you book the child care service in the Knopf Club in advance. Bookings on site are only possible subject to availability.

Hapag Lloyd’s aim is for their guests to feel comfortable and happy in every respect. Even if they are only learning to crawl on board. Therefore, they offer free of charge Baby-Welcome-Paket Package aboard the EUROPA and the EUROPA 2. It contains all baby care products for toddlers up to 3 years of age – and reduces the parents’ luggage significantly. Children who can already walk enjoy strolling across the ship holding the paw of Käpt’n Knopf and playing with the family captain in the Knopf Club aboard the EUROPA 2.

  • SPA offers for children* in the OCEAN SPA for children as of eight years such as chocolate body wrap or chocolate massage on the EUROPA and the EUROPA 2
  • Dinner as a group with the child minders and delicious kids’ menus

Teens/Tweens

  • Own Teens’ Club on board for children and adolescents as of 11 years of age
  • Age-specific programmes with activities such as photo workshop, hip hop course and pool party
  • Special teens’ excursions* without parents
  • Teens’ SPA offers* in the OCEAN SPA such as special treatment for juvenile skin and styling courses on the EUROPA and the EUROPA 2
  • Dinner as a group with the Teens’ Club supervisor/s
