Healing Hooves (Alberta, Canada)
Our vision at Healing Hooves is to help parents raise secure and emotionally healthy children in an insecure world.
Sometimes this means working individually with families through our equine and animal assisted therapy program and parent support sessions. We also aim to reach and support a wider base of families through our series of children’s books featuring the ponies of Healing Hooves. Grounded firmly in attachment theory and developmental science, each book has its own theme, such as holding on when apart, fear and anxiety, emotional expression, relationship conflict, asking for help and unconditional love. Our books can also simply be shared with children as fun entertaining stories about mischievous ponies on a farm in the Canadian Rockies! During this current time of uncertainty we are offering many of our stories to families for free download in PDF or epub format. We also have a free users guide available for parents.
