The Olympics, MSC-Style

For those of you who are fans of competitive sports, there’s not much that’s more exciting than the Olympic GamesAs most of you probably know, they’re scheduled to be held this year in London from July 27th through August 12th.  If you’re not attending in person, the next best thing might be to watch the games live from a luxury cruise ship.

MSC Cruises is offering this summer’s passengers the chance to experience the games from a unique perspective.  The line will be televising over 2000 hours of 29 Olympic sports, as well as the opening and closing ceremony of the games.  Broadcasts will occur via satellite in public areas and guests’ cabins, allowing passengers to cheer on over 10,000 athletes as they compete in events that range from archery to triathlon, athletics to volleyball.  (For a full schedule of events, click here.)

MSC will also feature Olympic-themed onboard entertainment during this time, including parades, anthem sing-alongs, Olympic knowledge video quizzes, and various sports competitions (with medals awarded, of course!).  Even the cuisine will reflect the spirit of the games, with Olympic themed cakes and renamed cocktails to underscore the various events.

It’s possible that MSC’s passengers could enjoy the Olympics almost as much as the competitors this year!
