NORWEGIAN EPIC HOSTS MACY’S FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Every year, Macy’s hosts the largest fireworks display in the nation, with their Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® celebration. This year, the display will have an exciting new twist: guests onboard the super ship Norwegian Epic will have a front row seat!
The NCL’s Epic will be playing host to both the fireworks display and the corresponding NBC broadcast , set to air at 9pm on July 4th, 2010.
The Epic, with its enormous size and myriad of viewing venues, lends itself well to this endeavor, and its world class entertainment facilities will accommodate NBC’s star-studded recording artist performances perfectly.
This year’s pyrotechnics theme is American Harmony, and will encompass a capella, gospel, barbershop quartets and choral ensembles. It will also feature the New York Pops orchestra and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, in addition to some of America’s top vocal groups.
Expected to draw 3 million live viewers in New York, and millions more via the telecast, this widely anticipated event promises to be the premier way to say “Happy Birthday America”!
