In response to consumer demand, Crystal Cruises has announced that they will eliminate smoking in all indoor areas on the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, except for its Connoisseur Club smoking lounge.
Gregg Michael, Crystal Cruises President says, “We have received considerable feedback and we listened. Our policies have evolved as lifestyles have changed. The majority of our guests worldwide are non-smoking, and travelers are used to more non-smoking environments today.”
It’s not a totally new concept; most areas of Crystal’s ships have been non-smoking for quite some time. Smoke free areas have included restaurants and main entertainment lounges, staterooms and suite verandahs. Crystal also eliminated smoking in the Avenue Saloon and Casino in 2013.
This new policy takes things a step further, and now eliminates smoking in cabins, suites, the Crystal Cove lounge and the Pulse and Luxe nightclubs.
Smoking of cigar, pipes and cigarettes will still be allowed in selected outside spaces.
This new policy becomes effective on the January 5th v4301 and January 8th v4201 voyages of Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, respectively.
