Lindblad Expeditions offers incomparable access to National Geographic-certified photo instructors

Lindblad Expeditions ( has launched Expedition Photography, an unprecedented service aboard every ship in the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic fleet, which features a Lindblad-National Geographic Certified Photo Instructor on every departure.

The unique access to these National Geographic-Certified Photo Instructors as travel companions and photo advisors in the world’s most extraordinary locations will help guests take their photography skills to the next level.

The initiative capitalizes on the symbiotic link between Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic —expeditions + photography — and provides another optional layer of activity to partake in. Guests of any interest or skill level can rely on the assistance of a trained instructor (also a naturalist), who has completed a training program developed by Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic.

The Expedition Photography program will also roll out pre and post-voyage amenities through an Expedition Photography micro-site that is in development. Guests will have password access to a private section on containing a lode of photo-centric content: enhanced documents, packing lists, an Expedition Photography essentials webinar, instructional videos, geography specific photography tips, FAQs and Photo Instructor bios.

Once aboard, guests may partake in breakout sessions with hands-on-teaching; photography talks, and photo instruction on walks and Zodiac cruises.

Post voyage, the site will enable guests to share their photographs with other members of the Lindblad-National Geographic community, compete for photo honors, create books as lasting keepsakes, and more.

The new Expedition Photography program complements the other photographic amenities already offered by Lindblad Expeditions. The National Geographic Explorer will continue to have a National Geographic photographer on each voyage, and all exclusively themed Photo Expeditions will be joined by a National Geographic Photographer as well.
