Hurtigruten offers single supplement waiver on some cruises departing through April 14

More and more people are traveling ‘solo’ these days, preferring both the peacefulness that can be had as well as the opportunity to make new friends. And Hurtigruten is continuing a policy they have had in place for years on their six to 12-day Hurtigruten itineraries along Norway’s fjord-filled west coast – a route named the “world’s most beautiful voyage” by Lonely Planet.

Guests traveling alone and booking a double-occupancy cabin will not be charged the expedition cruise company’s single supplement – a savings of up to $2,585. This offer is good on 2011 itineraries departing through Apr. 14, 2011. The single supplement fee is waived on all non-suite cabin choices on the six-day southbound, seven-day northbound, 11-day Norwegian Discovery and 12-day Classic voyages. Fares include voyage in cabin grade of your choice; all meals on board; cruise taxes and port charges; entrance to the Hurtigruten Museum (on 12, 11 and 6-day voyages); and a Hurtigruten guide book.

This offer may be combined with the AARP Member Discount, which allows guests to save up to 25% off select Norway voyages and receive up to $70 of onboard credit, and the Repeater Discount, which gives guests who have traveled onboard Hurtigruten within the last three years savings of up to 10% off a subsequent voyage. Rates are valid for North American residents only and are subject to change without notice. Cruise fuel surcharge is not included and will be advised at time of booking.
