Cruise Shipping Conference March 2011

I am here in Miami, and there is lots of energy and excitement in the air today as press from all over the world, travel agents, travel suppliers, cruise line management and an assortment of others with interest meet at Cruise Shipping 2011.   Everyone is here to explore new cruise trends, new types of WOW! offerings from suppliers and to listen to the state of the industry as given from the key people at some of the lines.

Here is a rundown of who was speaking …………….

The Introductory Address was given by Jan Swartz, Chair, Cruise Lines International Association’s Marketing Committee, and Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing & Customer Service, Princess Cruises/Cunard Line

The State of the Cruise Industry  – A view of the shape of the industry and a look ahead.
The mood is positive, new ships will come on the scene, new wow factors and many new cruisers will take to the high seas to see what all of this buzz is about.  And for those cruisers who cannot get enough, the lines are doing everything possible to make your vacation the ultimate experience, each and every sailing.

A couple of interesting comments:

In a survey done by a company who measures loyalty trends:  Did you know that cruise line travelers have one of the highest loyalty factors for any brand?  And even more so than baby food.  That says something!

Why is the cruise business so successful?  Value, innovation and value and the teamwork of a global partnership!
