Welcome aboard the Seabourn Spirit cruise ship. Some say a sense of proportion is the true measure of elegance. The intimate size of the Seabourn Spirit assures exclusivity. Aboard these all-suite ships, your fellow guests number no more than 208 well-versed voyagers. The Scandinavian ambiance is inviting; mellow lounges, open-seating restaurants, a spa and a unique marina for swimming are just some of the amenities that enrich your days. It's hard to imagine a more pampered existence. Yet you deserve no less.

We enjoyed this smaller scale ship and the personal attention we received, November 6, 2010

Pros: There were no "extra" costs for drinks and tips

Overall, the quality of service and attention to detail were really good. The anticipation began when we received our travel box from Seabourn which included leather luggage tags and travel itinerary.

When we arrived at the ship, we immediately felt welcomed as we were greeted at the ship with a personal steward to take our luggage aboard and to show us around. Our cabin was large with a full seating area, walk-in closet and bathroom. Awaiting us were the fully stocked minibar, fruit plate and a bucket of chilled champagne!

We also received an invitation to join two of the entertainers for dinner the first night to welcome us to the cruise and to answer any questions we might have about what to see and do. The servers knew us by name and by the end of the cruise, we knew them by name.

The captain and his officers were often on deck and willing to interact with the guests. e have taken cruises on the mega-ships before and never experienced the sense of family that the Seabourn crew offered. They really live up to the slogan, "This is my yacht."

For the cost the Spirit was good, but did not live up to expectations, October 28, 2010

Would not use this particular ship again. Believe staff was in training and that experienced staff were sent to newer ships.

Would not recommend cruising along Southern Italian coast as the seas are rougher and tendering is more difficult.
