Grandson (11yrs) loved the kids program. We loved the food.
Entertainment in the evening shows was poor. Better artists in the bars.

Staff and Service
My grandson loved this cruise. He had a ball with the other kids in the kids programs. I thought the staff for these programs were excellent and very attentive. The evening shows were not very good compared to other cruise lines. The wait staff and cabin attendants were all very helpful. I had read where many passengers are put off by the multi languages used for all announcements but that did not bother us. We became friendly with other couples from Canada, England, and even France. Our cruise was just after Christmas, over New Years and it was crowded with kids but that is why we were there too!I will take my grandkids again any time.
We had a great time both times we have had the chance to go ashore. The island is quite beautiful and clean. Many shops with a European feel.
Found some lovely handmade linens for gifts. Good quality for the value.
My husband loves this port the most in the Caribbean. The beach at Cemetery Beach is lovely white sand (you do walk through the cemetery, but I thought that was great!). The snorkeling is not the greatest but the water is clear and there are some small fish. Very sandy beach. The town is touristy but then where is it not? The shopping was fine, good quality at some very nice European stores. Very clean community. Sadly our last cruise to this port did not dock due to rough weather and the ship could not tender. My husband traded his "captain's" ballcap for some nice silver jewelry for me!!
Young kids soliciting for handouts, to purchase sex and drugs. Creepy.
We went ashore and did not book any excursions as we often do better with arranging our own. Do your homework and check out online excursions, tourist information, etc. and you can save a bundle plus you are then on your own schedule.I was pestered by a group of young boys about 8-10 years old asking if I needed sex (they said boys or girls) or drugs or anything else. When I asked why they were not in school, they said they had no money for uniforms... The better shops were OK. Be alert to possible problems.....I also felt unsafe in the straw market, go with someone else along.
