Costa Cruises launches ‘Kids Free’ promotion on select Europe sailings

A European vacation is more affordable with Costa Cruises’ “Kids Free” spring and summer promotion that lets families of four sail for the price of two guests. With Kids Free, junior cruisers ages 17 and under only pay government taxes and fees as the third or fourth guest in a cabin on select sailings through July.

In addition to the Kids Free offer, special low rates are available on select Mediterranean and northern Europe departures from now through November 2013. Rates start as low as $399 per person, double occupancy, for a seven-night western Mediterranean cruise.

“Today’s hectic lifestyle doesn’t leave much room for family time,” said Scott Knutson, vice president of sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. “Our Kids Free promotion offers families great vacation options at an exceptional rate, making it easy to spend quality time together while visiting the popular cities of Europe.”

Whether traveling families are looking to take a vacation to educate, relax or go on an adventure, there is sure to be itinerary selection among Costa’s diverse itineraries that will please everyone.

Families can turn a shore excursion adventure ashore into an educational experience by learning about the Acropolis while in Athens, Greece, or the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. In addition to family-friendly tour options, Costa offers youth programs onboard that feature games, parties and plenty of opportunities to socialize with fellow junior cruisers.

Aboard a Costa cruise even the youngest cruisers are big guests. For children and teens ages 3 to 17, Costa provides extensive complimentary youth programs broken into four age groups: Mini for ages 3 to 6 years, Maxi for ages 7 to 11, Teen Junior for 12 to 14, and Teen for those age 15 to 17.

In each group games, sports, crafts, parties, dance lessons and more are offered throughout the day and late into the evening. Led by a team of qualified youth staff, several activities also are designed to be fun for the whole family, including karaoke, bingo and talent shows.

In addition to fun and games, kids can indulge in a special menu served at every meal with favorites like spaghetti, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese and ice cream. Costa also offers a Boys & Girls beverage card for 10 nonalcoholic drinks, so kids can have juice and sodas any time during their cruise.
