Compagnie du Ponant’s New Ship: Le Lyrial

CompagnieDuPonantCompagnie du Ponant has announced details on its newest ship, the Le Lyrial.  She will be the fourth ship in Ponant’s Boreal-class fleet, sailing an inaugural cruise in April 2015.

Her inaugural season will be spent cruising the Mediterranean, visiting Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey before heading to the icy shores of Antarctica.

The interior design has been entrusted to interior architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, who will be working with a palette of blues, spanning the scale from delicate grey-blue to vivid turquoise blue.

Compagnie du Ponant has also redesigned Deck 6 on Le Lyrial to accommodate larger suites of up to 600 square feet (Owner’s Suite). As a result Le Lyrial will have 122 staterooms and suites instead of the 132 on Le Soléal, L’Austral and Le Boréal.
