Alaskan Dream Cruises is one of those small cruise lines that flies under the radar a bit, but they’re worth making note of. The company, now two years old, is owned and operated by natives of Sitka, Alaska- thereby making it a front runner for in-depth Alaskan cruises.
These people know the country and wilderness areas like some of the larger companies cannot, and if you’re looking for a tour of the “real Alaska”, this may be a way to go. (Read more about Alaskan Dream Cruises here.)
Though still an upstart, this line is showing rapid growth, and is introducing a new ship for the summer of 2013. The 62-passenger Baranof Dream will sail on a new 11-day itinerary, “Admiralty, Baranof and Chichagof Explorer”. This voyage is an extended version of the eight-day “Alaska’s Glacier Bay and Island Adventure.”
The new expanded itinerary has been added due to consumer demand, allowing for more exploration, sightseeing, wildlife viewing opportunities.
