A Note About Oceania’s New Ship, the Marina, and it’s onboard Canyon Ranch SpaClub®
Oceania is introducing their new ship, the Marina, in January 2011. As is their tradition, this wonderful luxury ship will provide Oceania’s lovely onboard ambiance, while remaining comfortable and familiar to those who love this line.
It’s my experience that the staff on these ships is well-trained and helpful, and the cuisine is excellent (no surprise since the executive culinary director is Jacques Pepin, one of America’s best-known chefs). And I love Oceania’s itineraries; they are “port-heavy”, so I can visit a number of exotic places while still returning every evening to the convenience of a floating hotel.
The new Marina stays in the mid-size range (1250 passengers) that Oceania favors, and will incorporate yet another of my favorite features onboard… the Canyon Ranch Spa. Marina’s Canyon Ranch SpaClub will feature nearly 50 treatments and therapies…one of my favorites is the Euphoria- an 80 minute aromatherapy scalp massage/botanical body mask treatment. This treatment also incorporates a warm bath and light massage… it is just lovely.
Expect this 10,000-sq.-ft. Canyon Ranch SpaClub® to include a variety of different tranquil environments that soothe the travel-weary and invigorate you for the adventures ahead!
