A new amenity — Unlimited Internet — offered by Regent Seven Seas and Oceania on specific sailings

Cruise lines are offering all types of incentives from free airfare to free beverage packages to attract new passengers.

However, sister cruise lines Regent and Oceania are the first to offer free unlimited internet that I know of. (At least, on somewhat larger ships. There are many small ships, river cruisers and barges that include free internet.)

But on most ships, internet access is charged by the minute and is extremely expensive. It is one of the biggest complaints that I hear from frequent cruisers is about the cost of internet/cell phone data access.

So this week Regent offered this special: Guests who book any one of the 15 eligible Europe 2013 voyages will receive  free unlimited Internet, a $300 per suite shipboard credit and Business Class Air  upgrades from $699. The cruises must be booked by the end of May. Use promotion code EUROPE2013.
